About Me
I’m Paul Osckel, a financial professional with a passion for serving people who dedicate their lives to helping others. After nearly two decades in law enforcement, I transitioned into financial services to continue supporting my community in a different way by helping families, first responders, and professionals build security, reduce stress, and plan for the future with confidence.
My practice is rooted in trust, transparency, and relationship-based planning. I believe financial advice should go beyond products it should be holistic, tailored to each client’s goals, and designed to last through every stage of life. Whether it’s planning for retirement, protecting loved ones with insurance, or creating a legacy for future generations, I walk alongside my clients to ensure they feel supported and prepared.
I’m proud to work with Thrivent, a Fortune 500, not-for-profit, Christian-based financial organization recognized by Ethisphere as one of the world’s most ethical companies. What drew me here is the unique blend of strong financial solutions and community impact through programs like Action Teams and Choice Dollars, we empower members to give back to causes they care about.

About Me Personally
I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart for 22 years, and together we’ve built a wonderful life with our two children, Bayleigh and Nolan. Our home is full of energy thanks to our two Yorkies, Vanellope and Charlie, who keep us laughing every day.
Family is at the center of everything I do. Whether it’s coaching Nolan’s baseball teams, cheering on Bayleigh in her competitive dance, or spending time outdoors camping together, I cherish the moments we share. We also love taking family vacations, creating memories that bring us closer and give us new experiences to enjoy together.
I graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor’s in Public Administration and a Master’s in Business. Before joining Thrivent, I served as a police officer for 18 years a career that taught me the value of service, resilience, and community. Today, I carry those lessons into my work, helping families plan for their future with confidence and care.
When I’m not working or with my family, you’ll often find me watching sports. I’m a big fan of the Denver Broncos and the Colorado Avalanche, and I enjoy the camaraderie and competitiveness that comes with being part of a community of fans.
At the heart of my story is family, service, and a love for making lasting through my career, my hobbies, or the time I spend with the people I love most.

My Why
For 18 years, I served as a police officer a career built on protecting others, standing for integrity, and serving my community. When I transitioned out of law enforcement, I knew I needed to find a new purpose of service, one that would allow me to continue helping people in meaningful ways.
That’s what led me to Thrivent. As a faith-based company, Thrivent aligns perfectly with my core values of ethics, integrity, and service. Here, I can carry forward the same dedication I had in law enforcement, but in a new capacity: guiding families, first responders, and community members toward financial clarity and peace of mind.
Being a financial advisor allows me to blend my commitment to service with practical solutions that improve lives. It’s not just about managing money, it’s about walking alongside people through every stage of life, helping them plan for retirement, protect their loved ones, and leave a legacy that reflects their values.
My “why” is simple: to serve with integrity, to honor my faith, and to help others live with confidence and purpose.
