Rooted in Mesa. Serving the East Valley.

Mesa is more than where I work — it’s home.

Living and serving here gives me a local perspective on the people, families, and professionals who make this community what it is. From the East Valley lifestyle and growing neighborhoods to the careers and industries shaping Mesa’s future, I understand the real financial questions people are navigating in this season of life.

I work with individuals, families, and organizations across Mesa and the East Valley, helping them build a financial plan that supports their faith, their family, and their long-term goals.

How I Serve the Mesa Community

I provide personalized financial guidance with a strong focus on:

  • Churches and faith communities — helping leaders and families grow in stewardship, generosity, and long-term financial clarity
  • Arizona public employees and ASRS members — helping clients understand how retirement benefits fit into a broader financial plan
  • Healthcare professionals — including doctors, nurses, and medical professionals balancing demanding careers with long-term planning
  • Engineers and technical professionals — helping simplify complex benefits, compensation, and planning decisions with clarity and strategy

Local Perspective. Long-Term Guidance.

Because I live and work in Mesa, I’m not offering generic advice from a distance. I’m serving people in a community I know and care about.

My goal is to help Mesa-area clients live with more clarity and confidence about money — and build a plan that protects what matters most.

Family First - Our Greatest Adventure

My world revolves around my incredible family — my amazing wife, Liz, and our three extraordinary kids: Ingrid, Gretchen, and Jonathan (JJ). They’re not just my favorite people; they’re the greatest adventure of my life.

These days, our family is spread out a bit, which makes our time together even more meaningful. Gretchen and her husband, Connor, live in Atlanta, Ingrid and her husband, Drew, live in Louisville, and JJ is also in Louisville, studying pre-law at Boyce College.

Even with the miles between us, we stay closely connected and make the most of every chance to be together. We love hiking — especially here in Arizona, where places like the Superstition Mountains and the Peralta Trail have given us some of our favorite memories. We also love cooking great meals together and making time each year for an annual family vacation somewhere in the U.S. Those trips have become one of our favorite traditions — a chance to slow down, laugh a lot, and make memories together.

Family has shaped so much of how I see life and work. It’s one of the reasons I care deeply about helping people plan wisely, protect what matters most, and build a financial life that supports the people they love.

Supporting Small Business, One Day at a Time

Closer to home, a great date night for us usually means Buck & Rider or The Coffee Shop at Agritopia in Gilbert — both regular favorites in our rotation. And most mornings, you’ll find us at our local EōS Fitness, getting after it and doing our part to “Make America Healthy Again,” one workout at a time.

Church Involvement

In addition to attending and serving at Christ Church, a new church plant in downtown Mesa, Liz and I also lead worship and travel periodically through our music ministry.

We deeply love the local church and believe it plays a central role in spiritual growth, community, and discipleship. One of our strongest encouragements to anyone is to find a local church that faithfully preaches and teaches the Bible — and to get rooted there.

How we do Financial Planning

More than strategies and accounts—planning for the life and calling God has entrusted to you.

Our Calling

Mission: “Building and protecting financial futures for Christians, the people they love, and the organizations they cherish.”

When I think about why we do this work, it comes down to people.

Financial planning involves numbers and strategy, but at its core, it’s about helping real people live with more clarity and less stress. It’s about helping families make wise decisions, protect what matters most, and move forward with confidence.

Over the years, I’ve seen how financial uncertainty can weigh heavily on people — and how a clear plan can bring peace, margin, and focus. That’s what we want for every client we serve.

Our Long View

Vision: “To see every Christian we serve living with clarity and confidence about money—free to be generous, prepared for the unexpected, and fully aligned with God’s calling on their lives and resources.”

My vision — and our shared commitment as a team — is bigger than helping people grow wealth.

We want the people we serve to feel clear and confident about their finances, prepared for the unexpected, and free to be generous. We want their financial life to support their faith, their family, and the calling God has placed on them.

That kind of alignment brings a different kind of peace.

Our Core Commitments

Values That Guide Our Work

Faith-Aligned Stewardship

We believe money is never just about money. It reflects priorities, values, and calling. We help clients make financial decisions that align with biblical wisdom and what God has entrusted to them.

Wisdom Before Products

We don’t lead with products or one-size-fits-all solutions. We start by listening, understanding the full picture, and building strategies that fit real lives.

Clarity Creates Confidence

Many people feel overwhelmed by finances simply because no one has explained things clearly. We value practical, understandable guidance that helps clients know where they stand and what to do next.

Protection Is Part of Stewardship

Growing wealth matters, but protecting it matters too. We help clients prepare for risk and put the right safeguards in place for their family, business, and future.

Generosity With Purpose

We believe wise planning should create freedom to give — to your church, your family, and the causes you care about — with intention and confidence.

Relationships Over Transactions

This work is personal and long-term. Life changes, priorities shift, and plans need to adapt. We’re committed to lasting relationships, not one-time transactions.

Team-Centered Guidance

While I lead the relationship, our team works together to provide thoughtful planning, strong follow-through, and a better client experience. That team approach helps us serve with consistency, care, and coordination.

Excellence With Integrity

We take this responsibility seriously. Our goal is to serve with professionalism, thoughtful advice, and dependable follow-through.

Our Process

How We Do This

We help individuals and families move from financial uncertainty to clarity through a simple, thoughtful process — with personal guidance and team support along the way.

1) We Start With Your Story

Before we talk strategy, we take time to understand your goals, values, concerns, and what you want your financial life to support.

2) We Build a Plan Around What Matters Most

Together, we build a personalized strategy for your life — including retirement, investing, protection, taxes, legacy, and generosity.

3) We Help You Make Wise Decisions

We bring clarity to complex choices, help you think through tradeoffs, and guide you toward next steps with confidence.

4) We Coordinate the Bigger Picture

When needed, we work with your CPA, attorney, and other trusted professionals so your planning is aligned and working together.

5) We Support You With a Team Approach

Clients benefit from more than one point of support. I lead the planning relationship, and our team helps ensure communication, implementation, and follow-through stay strong.

6) We Walk With You Over Time

Financial planning isn’t a one-time conversation. We stay with our clients through life’s changes, helping adjust the plan as needs and goals evolve.

7) We Keep Generosity in View

We believe good planning should create more than security — it should create freedom: freedom to give, bless others, and live with purpose.

Closing Thought

I started this work because I care deeply about helping people make wise decisions and live with peace. Over time, that calling has grown into a team-based approach to serving clients with clarity, care, and long-term guidance.

We believe financial planning should do more than grow wealth — it should help people protect what matters most and be generous with what God has entrusted to them.

That’s the heart behind our work.

Retirement Planning With Clarity and Confidence

Pre-Retirement Planning (Ages 50–65)

One of our key focus areas is helping pre-retirees navigate the years leading up to retirement.

The window between ages 50 and 65 is one of the most important seasons in financial planning. It’s the “glide path” to retirement — when major decisions start to come into focus, including:

  • retirement timing
  • investment risk and allocation
  • income planning
  • tax strategy
  • Social Security and pension decisions
  • protecting what you’ve built

Tax-Efficient Retirement Planning

We also help clients focus on tax efficiency, especially during the planning window between age 59½ and 73.

For many people, this is a key opportunity to make proactive decisions before required distributions begin, including:

  • Roth conversion planning
  • IRA and 401(k) withdrawal strategy
  • income timing
  • charitable giving strategies
  • managing future tax exposure

Clear Planning for the Retirement Glide Path

Our goal is to help you make wise decisions before retirement — so you can move into the next season with clarity, confidence, and a plan that supports your values.

Ways We Can Meet

Because relationships are such an important part of our planning process, we do prefer to meet in person whenever possible. There’s a lot of value in sitting down face-to-face, getting to know each other, and having thoughtful conversations without distractions.

That said, we offer several meeting options — especially as the relationship progresses and life gets busy:

  • In Person — meet face-to-face at our office
  • Zoom or Microsoft Teams — secure virtual meetings from wherever you are
  • Phone — a simple option for quick questions or scheduled conversations

Our goal is to make the process personal, convenient, and easy to stay connected over time.

Answering Commonly Asked Questions

Many people come to us with great questions like:

  • When can I retire, and how do I know if I’m ready?
  • How much income can I safely take in retirement?
  • When should I take Social Security?
  • Should I contribute to a Roth IRA or Traditional IRA?
  • Should I do a Roth conversion — and when?
  • How do Roth conversions work after age 59½?
  • When do RMDs start, and what do I need to watch out for?
  • Can I convert my RMD to a Roth IRA?
  • How should I withdraw from my IRA, 401(k), and taxable accounts to reduce taxes?
  • How can I make my retirement plan more tax-efficient over time?

These are important questions — but the right answers depend on your specific situation.

Your income, tax bracket, retirement timeline, family goals, charitable giving, and overall financial picture all matter. That’s why generic answers from the internet often fall short.

As fiduciaries, we specialize in helping clients think through these decisions with care and clarity — always with your best interest first. Our goal is to help you make wise, tax-aware decisions that fit your life, not just someone else’s template.

Let’s Connect
