What a powerful week of community, compassion, and leadership in Washington! 💪❤️ Alex and I had the honor of leading two incredible Thrivent Action Teams that brought people together in amazing ways. 🦸‍♂️ National Night Out We joined forces with the Washington Police Department to help build community and the youth of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church to assemble 350 back-to-school kits. These kits not only support local kids but also raise awareness for the Washington Weekend Snackpac Program, which provides weekend meals for students facing food insecurity. The community showed up in a big way—and yes, even superheroes stopped by to lend a hand! (Pro tip: 350 packed bags just barely fit in the back of an MDX 😅) 📍 Global Leadership Summit at Connect Church Next, we partnered with Tony and Amy from the Exponent Group to help sponsor the GLS—an incredible 2-day event filled with powerful speakers and leadership insights. Through another Thrivent Action Team, attendees wrote dozens of heartfelt notes and artwork to uplift a family whose daughter was recently diagnosed with leukemia. A small gesture with the potential to make a big impact. 💛 Moments like these remind us what’s possible when we come together to serve and support others. #ThriventActionTeam #LiveGenerously #WashingtonIL #WashingtonStrong
