Helping Individuals and Families Toward Financial Freedom

Financial freedom is not just about what you accumulate, but how you steward what you have been given. Life brings changes, questions, and seasons that require wisdom and care.

I help individuals, families, and congregations navigate toward financial freedom by aligning financial decisions with faith, values, and long‑term purpose.

Below, you can learn more about how I serve, the planning areas I focus on, and what a values‑based approach to financial guidance can look like.

How I Help You Plan with Confidence

Whether you are thinking about retirement, planning for the future, or trying to steward your resources in a way that reflects your faith and values, the right guidance can make all the difference. Wherever you are today, I will meet you there.

I work with clients across the following areas:

  • Asset management
  • Biblically Responsible Investing
  • Retirement and goal planning
  • Estate and legacy planning
  • College planning
  • Tax efficiency planning
  • Risk management with life Insurance, disability insurance, and long-term care planning
  • Charitable giving and generosity
  • Financial education for local churches and nonprofits

My goal is to provide you with financial peace of mind so that you can enjoy doing more of the things you love with the people you love.

Biblically Responsible Investing

For many people, investing has always been about performance, diversification, and long‑term goals. What often goes unnoticed is where that money is actually being invested.

Most investment portfolios hold hundreds or even thousands of companies. As a result, it is possible to own shares of businesses whose products or practices do not align with a Christian worldview, sometimes without realizing it. These may include companies connected to areas such as gambling, alcohol, tobacco, adult entertainment, abortion‑related services, or other activities that may conflict with deeply held faith values.

For some investors, this is not a concern. For others, alignment matters deeply.

Biblically Responsible Investing (BRI) is an approach that seeks to align investment choices with Christian faith and values by intentionally screening out certain companies and industries, while still maintaining a disciplined, goal‑focused investment strategy. It brings greater intention and awareness to how money is invested.

How I Help

I help individuals, families, and nonprofits invest in a way that reflects both their financial goals and their faith convictions.

This includes:

  • Screening investments to help exclude companies or industries that may conflict with biblical values
  • Building diversified allocation models based on your time horizon, risk tolerance, and long‑term goals
  • Using established, third‑party screening methodologies rather than personal opinions
  • Providing education so you understand what you own and why you own it

While faith‑based screening is not important to everyone, many investors appreciate knowing they have options and that their investments can better reflect what they believe.

You May Be Invested Without Knowing It

One of the most common things I hear is,

“I had no idea my investments included companies like that.”

Because many funds hold a large number of underlying companies, it is easy to unintentionally support businesses that do not align with your faith. Biblically Responsible Investing brings clarity and intention to that process.

A Personalized, Faith‑Aligned Review

If you are curious about how your investments align with your faith, I can help you:

  • Gain clarity on what you currently own
  • Understand how faith‑based screening works in practice
  • Explore investment options based on your time horizon, risk tolerance, and goals
  • Decide whether Biblically Responsible Investing is a good fit for you

There is no obligation. This is simply an opportunity to learn, ask questions, and explore alignment in a thoughtful and informed way.

If this resonates with you, I would love the opportunity to connect.

About Cade Spenker

I was born and raised in Longview, Washington, and this community has always been home. It is where my faith was formed, where relationships were built, and where I learned the value of walking alongside others through life’s joys and challenges. That same spirit continues to shape the way I serve today.

My path into financial advice grew out of a simple desire to help people find clarity and peace around decisions that often feel overwhelming. Early in my career, working at a local credit union, I had the privilege of sitting across the table from families navigating real‑life financial questions. Those conversations taught me that money is rarely just about numbers. It is about hopes, fears, responsibilities, and the people we love.

Over time, I felt called to serve in a way that more fully reflected my faith and values, which led me to Thrivent. Its mission‑driven focus resonates deeply with my belief that financial guidance should honor both practical wisdom and faithful stewardship. I strive to approach every relationship with humility, care, and a commitment to serving what matters most to each client.

Life, Family, and Community

One of God’s greatest blessings in my life is my wife. We met in 2020 and were married in September 2024. She is my greatest encouragement, and walking through life together has been a gift I do not take for granted.

Outside of work, we enjoy spending time outdoors exploring the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, hiking local trails like Hamilton Mountain and Lava Canyon, and dreaming about climbing Mount St. Helens someday. We also enjoy traveling, playing tennis, and sharing meaningful time with family and friends. Our lives are deeply rooted in our local church, where faith, fellowship, and service are central to our weekly rhythm.

What Guides My Work

Faith, family, and service guide how I show up for the people I serve. I believe financial guidance is not about having all the answers, but about listening well, asking thoughtful questions, and helping others make decisions that align with their faith, values, and long‑term hopes.

It is a privilege to walk alongside individuals, families, and congregations as they seek to steward their resources faithfully and plan for the future with confidence and peace of mind. I am also grateful to stay connected to the broader community through my involvement with the Kelso Longview Chamber of Commerce.
